Greg used to write under the pseudonym “Sgt. Grumbles” (inspiration for the name Sgt Grumbles may be found here), but owns the words he puts on these pages under his Christian name now. Greg has resisted throwing his surname into the mix here as one needs to be careful as to where one’s name is found on the many road signs residing along the information stupor-highway (read: Google search).
Interesting facts: Greg shares the same birthday with one Sufjan Stevens and he owns an LP of Steven’s “Illinois” album with Superman on the cover. He also has a complete collection of Moby Books Illustrated Classic Editions, a topic about which he has written here.
Uninteresting facts: Greg is a native of the Long Beach Crib, in the fools-golden state of California. He currently resides at the edge of the Orange curtain, but safely within the DMZ of Los Angeles County. He obtained a highly-marketable MA degree in English Literature from Chapman University in old town Orange (fail Panthers!) and an MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Greg is a licensed pastor at a church in Southern California, but not the preaching kind of pastor. He is married to Michele, who is known for being ‘honest,’ with whom he parents 3 lovely little ones…which means there’s not a whole ton of extra time to write as much as he’d like to on this soon-to-be venerable inter-web locale.
Greg is as much in love with Elijah as one can be without crossing the threshold of one’s heterosexuality.
